On September 27, 2018, hundreds of Arkansans rallied on the Steps of the State Capitol to preserve mental health. Arkansas’s mental health care system is in crisis. Mental health providers, patients, families and friends are all affected by the poor state of our system. Keynote speaker and former congressman Patrick J. Kennedy, NAMI’s Marquitta Magnini, the Confess Project’s Lorenzo Lewis and advocate Leslee Badley addressed the crowd, encouraging them to keep fighting and pushing for a better system.
